Primary type material: holotype worker. Primary type locality: Mexico: Jalisco, Puerto Los Mazos, 10 mi. SW Autlán, 4400 ft, 25.ix.1973, leaf litter forest floor (A. Newton). Primary type depository: MCZC.

Secondary type material: 14 paratype workers. Secondary type locality: 2 paratype workers with same data as holotype, 12 paratype workers Mexico: Nayarit, Tepic (W.M. Mann). Secondary type depositories: BMNH, LACM, MCZC, USNM.
