Primary type material: holotype worker. Primary type locality: Ghana: Tafo (= New Tafo, Eastern Region, Akim District, Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana), 7.vi.1970, twig in leaf litter (B. Bolton). Primary type depository: BMNH.
