Type notes: McArthur, 2012 gives a diagnosis of Camponotus wetteri, which name he attributes to Mackay, as “Camponotus spp. 3”, adding “Martinique. Paratype. May be a nomen nudum”. Depository is given as MCZC. This would appear to be merely a collection specimen labeled by Mackay but never described by him.
