Primary type information: Type-material: syntype workers of all sizes, syntype queens, syntype males (numbers not stated). Type-locality: Philippines: Luzon, Los Baños (F.X. Williams). Type-depository: MCZC. Type notes: Regarded here as the type-series because Wheeler says, “I base the subspecies on a long series of all the phases taken by Dr F.X. Williams at Los Baños”. Other collections are recorded from Cebu and Negros.
