Myrmica (Monomorium) diversa Buckley, 1867: 337 (s.w.q.) U.S.A. (Texas). Nearctic.
Primary type information: Primary type material: syntype soldiers, syntype workers, syntype queens. Primary type locality: U.S.A.: Central Texas (S.B. Buckley). Primary type depository: unknown (no type-material known to exist). Type notes: Wheeler, 1902g: 27, regarded this taxon as a probable mixture of Pheidole species, together with Solenopsis; he considered that Buckley was “confounding several species”.
