Primary type information: Primary type material: syntype major workers, syntype minor workers (numbers not stated, “numerous”). Primary type locality: Brazil: Rio Grande do Sul, Porto Alegre (Gloria), 3.v.1926 (P. Buck). Primary type depository: MZSP. Type notes: 1) Wilson, 2003a: 779, says that type material of this taxon could not be found. 2) Mônica Ulysséa cites 3 syntype specimens in MZSP (also Ulysséa et al., 2025: 9). 3) Types may also be in MNRJ.
