Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype minor worker. Primary type locality: U.S.A.: New Mexico, nr Carrizozo, vic. Tularosa Basin lava beds (C.P. Stroud). Primary type depository: FMNH. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 8 paratype minor workers. Secondary type locality: same as for holotype. Secondary type depositories: FMNH, MCZC, USNM. Type notes: Mônica Antunes Ulysséa also cites a paratype/paratypes from U.S.A.: California: Split Mt., Anza Desert St. Pk., 152m, 19.iv.1952 (W.S. Creighton, M.P. Creighton), in the Gregg Ant Collection. This locality is not given in the original description and the date of collection is later than the date of publication of the original description. It appears that this is material used by Gregg in his later description of the major worker (Gregg, 1953b: 1). This is not type material.
