Primary type information: Type-material: lectotype worker (by designation of Boudinot & Fisher, 2013: 320). Type-locality: Madagascar: Fort Dauphin (Sikora). Type-depository: MHNG. Type-specimen: CASENT0101230 (lectotype). Type notes: Unrecorded paralectotypes are probably present in MHNG and elsewhere as Forel certainly had several original syntypes.
