Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype worker. Primary type locality: Guinea: Nigorie, Kakoulima (F. Silvestri). Primary type depository: NHMB. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 2 paratype workers. Secondary type locality: same as for holotype. Secondary type depositories: BMNH, MHNG. Secondary type specimen: CASENT0101768. Type notes: This taxon was first recorded by Santschi, 1914d: 312, as Probolomyrmex filiformis (misidentification). Taylor retrieved the 3 specimens he described; it is assumed the missing 4 are in DEUN.
