Primary type information: Primary type material: neotype worker (by designation of Heterick & Shattuck, 2011: 153). Primary type locality: neotype Australia: New South Wales, Wentworth Falls, nr Valley of the Waters, W end Fletcher St, 33°24’S, 150°51’E, 21.xii.1988, ANIC ants vial 76.98 (S.O. Shattuck). Primary type depository: ANIC. Type notes: 1) Original type data: syntype workers (number not stated), Australia: New South Wales, Blue Mts, Mt Victoria (L. Biró), not in MHNG (perhaps in HNHM). 2) Shattuck, 1994: 104, records syntypes in OXUM as Iridomyrmex emeryi which are from the Iridomyrmex mattiroloi parcens type locality.
