Aenictogiton elongatus var. attenuatus Santschi, 1919c: 247, fig. 2b (m.) DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO. Afrotropic.

Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype male. Primary type locality: Democratic Republic of the Congo (“Congo belge”): 300 km de Kindu, 21.iv.1914 (L. Burgeon). Primary type depository: MRAC. Type notes: Baroni Urbani, 1977e: 71, cites as holotype 1 male from Sankisia, 4.vi.1912 (Rodhain) in NHMB; this is not type-material.
