Primary type information: Primary type material: 2 syntype worker-queen intercastes. Primary type locality: Democratic Republic of the Congo (“Congo belge”): Kunungu (= Yunungu), 4.iv.1921 (H. Schouteden). Primary type depository: NHMB. Primary type specimen: CASENT0911592. Type notes: Syntypes are worker-queen intercastes, not workers as in the original description; only one specimen survives (Bolton, 2007b: 33).
