Primary type information: Type-material: lectotype worker (by designation of Brandão, 1990b: 445). Type-locality: lectotype Panama: Canal Zone, Barro Colorado I., vii-viii.1924, in nest of Sericomyrmex amabilis (W.M. Wheeler). Type-depository: MCZC. Secondary type information: Paratype-material: 13 paralectotype workers, 1 paralectotype queen. Paratype-locality: same as for lectotype. Paratype-depositories: MCZC, MZSP, USNM.
