Forelius tucumanus (Kusnezov, 1953) junior synonym of current valid taxon Forelius heyeri (Forel, 1902)
Neoforelius tucumanus Kusnezov, 1953c: 330, figs. 1-12 (w.m.) ARGENTINA (Tucumán). Neotropic.
Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype male. Primary type locality: Argentina: Tucumán, 14.xii.1949, no. 5671 (N. Kusnezov). Primary type depository: IMLT. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 1 paratype worker, 7 paratype males. Secondary type locality: same as for holotype. Secondary type depository: IMLT. Type notes: Shattuck, 1994: 96, cites 96 worker, 15 male paratypes; Cuezzo, 2000: 264, cites 95 worker, 14 male paratypes. Both Shattuck and Cuezzo apparently include all of Kusnezov’s “material examined” (for which he gives a total of 95 workers, 8 males), not just his holotype + paratypes series.
