Cataglyphis bellicosa (Karavaiev, 1924) valid

Myrmecocystus (Cataglyphis) bicolor subsp. bellicosus Karavaiev, 1924: 307 (w.) IRAN. Palearctic.

Primary type information: Primary type material: syntype workers (number not stated). Primary type locality: Iran (“Persia”): quarry nr Douchat-abad, 4 km. S Tehran, 23.ix.1916 (Bocquillon). Primary type depositories: IZTG, NHMB, SIZK. Type notes: The designation of a neotype by Radchenko, 1997e: 434 (Iran: Tehran, in ZISP), is redundant. He says “syntypes lost” (presumably from SIZK), but Santschi, 1929b: 49, cites 2 syntypes in NHMB, and in the original description Karavaiev also cites syntypes in IZTG.
