Primary type information: Primary type material: lectotype worker (by designation of Trager et al., 2007: 624). Primary type locality: lectotype U.S.A.: Pennsylvania, Beatty, no. 314 (P.J. Schmitt). Primary type depository: MSNG. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 1 paralectotype worker. Secondary type locality: same as for lectotype. Secondary type depository: MSNG. Type notes: 1) The lectotype was attributed by Trager et al., 2007 to “A.F. 1968” (= A. Francoeur?), but this designation was never published. 2) Emery, 1893k: 656, says the 2 specimens were sent by T. Pergande, but Wheeler, 1913i: 557, names the collector as P.J. Schmitt. Trager et al., 2007: 624, do not give a name but provide the number 314.
