The species name refers to the type locality, Paquisha, at Cordillera del Cóndor, Ecuadorian southern Amazon, where the type series originates. The specific epithet is a noun in apposition, thus invariable (International Code of Zoological Nomenclature: Art. 31.2.1, Art. 34.2.1). |
