Etymology The name of the species is derived from the type locality, Kadalar tea estate, Munnar, Kerala.
Primary type information Primary type material: holotype worker. Primary type locality: India: Kerala, Munnar, Idukki, Kadalar tea estate, 10.1330ºN 76.9977ºE, 1416 m, 19.v.2022, aspirator (Bikash Sahoo). Primary type depository: AIMB. Primary type specimen: AIMB/Hy/Fr 25004.
