Type notes 1) Other original syntype localities: workers, males U.S.A.: Colorado, North Cheyenne Canyon (W.M. Wheeler), Colorado, Pike’s Peak (W.M. Wheeler), workers, queen Colorado, Pike’s Peak, 17.ix.1903 (T.D.A. Cockerell). 2) Wheeler, 1913i: 464, inadvertently restricted the type locality to two localities: Ute Pass and Pike’s Peak.
