Etymology From Greek, “skambos”, curved, arched + “gnathos”, mandible. Dr. William Brown Jr. must have named this species based on the aberrant shape of its mandibles, whose apical region is conspicuously facing the ventral region. (Source: Probst & Brandão, 2022: 54.)
