Primary type information: Primary type material: 1 syntype soldier, 1 syntype queen. Primary type locality: Argentina: Córdoba, Alta Gracia (C. Bruch). Primary type depository: NHMB. Type notes: De Andrade & Baroni Urbani, 1999: 668, include the material described by Santschi, 1922e: 253, as syntypes of Cephalotes guttifer. But Santschi merely says of this material, “same locality as the type”; he does not imply that it is type-material.
