Primary type information: Type-material: holotype worker. Type-locality: Saudi Arabia: Qarah Village, 18°03’N, 42°45’E, 16.iv.1976 (W. Büttiker). Type-depository: WMLC. Type-specimen: CASENT0906344. Secondary type information: Paratype-material: 1 paratype worker. Paratype-locality: same as for holotype. Paratype-depository: WMLC. Type notes: Sharaf et al., 2018: 14, give the coordinates of the type-locality as 18°05’N, 42°75’E, 2000 m.
