Type notes Buckley says these ants “are the most numerous of any in Texas”; he mentions the following Texan localities: Washington Co., Long Point (‘Dr Linsecom’s garden’), Bastrip Co., Cedar Creek Post-office, and on Colorado River (on G.C. Caldwell’s property).
