Primary type information: Primary type material: syntype workers (number not stated). Primary type locality: New Guinea (probably Papua New Guinea): (no further data) (L. Biró). Primary type depository: NHMB (perhaps also in HNHM, MSNG). Type notes: LaPolla, 2004a: 31, cites a solitary NHMB specimen as the holotype, but this is unlikely as the material was collected by Biró and described by Emery, which implies syntypes in HNHM, MSNG, or both.
