Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype worker. Primary type locality: Philippines: Negros Oriental, Cuernos Mts, nr Dumaguete, Camp Lookout (ca 600 m.), 19.iii.1924 (J.W. Chapman). Primary type depository: MCZC. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 4 paratype workers. Secondary type locality: 2 paratype workers with same data as holotype, 1 paratype worker, 1 paratype queen “at or near the type-locality”, 27.iv.1924 (J.W. Chapman), 2 paratype workers Philippines: Romblon I., 5.iv.1924 (L. Morato). Secondary type depository: MCZC. Type notes: 1) The paratypes dated 27.iv.1924 were removed from Stictoponera chapmani and transferred to Stictoponera leiolabia by Lattke, 2004: 189. 2) Brown records the holotype (in fact all type-material) as being in MCZC, but Lattke, 2004: 187, places the holotype in USNM.
