Primary type information: Primary type material: neotype worker (top worker on pin; by designation of Seifert, 2020a: 70). Primary type locality: neotype France: FRA: Frankreich-06, Prov. Savoie, 12 km. E Belley, im Rhonetal, 250 m., 14.iv.1996 (A. Schulz & K. Vock). Primary type depository: SMNG. Type notes: 1) Original type data: worker, queen, male syntypes (numbers not stated) France: Provence (Olivier?), depository unknown, presumed lost. 2) Earlier authors, up to Dalla Torre, 1893: 183, refer to Latreille, 1798: 43, as the author of this taxon, despite the fact that Latreille himself wrote “emarginata Oliv.”.
