Primary type information: Primary type material: syntype soldiers, syntype workers (numbers not stated), 1 syntype queen. Primary type locality: Haiti: Diquini (W.M. Mann) (by restriction of Kempf, 1958a: 152). Primary type depositories: MCZC, MSNG, MZSP, NHMB, USNM. Type notes: 1) De Andrade & Baroni Urbani, 1999: 508, say that Kempf labelled a lectotype, but if so the designation was never published and is therefore invalid. 2) Other original syntype localities: Haiti: St Marc (W.M. Mann), Haiti: Petionville (W.M. Mann), and Haiti: Manneville (W.M. Mann).
