Bothriomyrmex regicidus Santschi, 1919i: 206, pl. 2, figs. 5-10 (w.q.m.) TUNISIA. Palearctic.
Primary type information: Primary type material: lectotype queen (by designation of Seifert, 2012b: 101). Primary type locality: lectotype Tunisia: Kairouan, iv. 1906 (F. Santschi). Primary type depository: NHMB. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 8 paralectotype (?) workers, 1 paralectotype queen, 2 paralectotype (?) males. Secondary type locality: paralectotype with same data as holotype, putative paralectotypes with same data as holotype but 1906, or vii.1906. Secondary type depositories: MHNG, NHMB. Type notes: Shattuck, 1994: 36, cites 16 worker, 4 queen, 4 male syntypes. Seifert, 2012b: 101, does not make clear if the 8 workers and 2 males he cited are actually paralectotypes as the only collection date noted in the original description is iv.1906.
